XPE, chemically cross-linked polyethylene foaming material, is made of low-density polyethylene resin plus cross-linking agent and foaming agent through high-temperature continuous foaming. It belongs to chemical foaming. In Carry Most factory, it is called high density pearl foam.

Characteristics of EPE foam

EPE foam, also known as pearl cotton, is a lightweight, highly elastic material produced through physical foaming. Its most notable features are low density, excellent cushioning performance, and good thermal insulation and sound insulation effects. In addition, EPE foam is non-toxic, tasteless, environmentally friendly and recyclable, in line with the green development trend of modern society.

Cell structure and appearance

EPE foam has larger cells and corrugated surface, which may give people a fluffy feeling.
XPE foam has finer and more uniform cells and a smooth surface.

Feel and performance

EPE foam is relatively soft and has many advantages such as water and moisture proof, shockproof, sound insulation, heat preservation, good plasticity, strong toughness, recycling, environmental protection, and strong impact resistance.
XPE foam is relatively hard, has higher tensile strength and relatively poor buffering capacity, but does not release harmful substances after burning.


EPE foam is widely used in the packaging industry, such as anti-static electronic instruments, daily necessities packaging, farm product insulation, etc. It is an ideal substitute for traditional packaging materials.
XPE foam is more commonly used in automobile sound insulation, building insulation, camping moisture-proofing, air conditioning and refrigeration and other industries.
